Announcing the launch of student WordPress hosting program

KokiTree is excited to launch a new free WordPress hosting program aimed at university students, faculty members, and academic organizations. The program has started as an initiative to provide free and budget hosting for Cambodia’s bloggers who have been using the company’s hosting services for their personal projects.

The program aimed at the two main target audiences — the educators and the individual students. This offer for the faculty members is essentially the same that got the whole program started: it allows each approved professor to enroll anyone, who participates in his/her course, for a free hosting account.

The main new thing in the KokiTree students hosting program though is that individual students can now participate as well. Each student can get a one year full-featured hosting account by KokiTree at a highly-discounted price. The only requirement is to provide a valid e-mail with the .edu extension. Another addition to the program is the opportunity for student organizations to partner with KokiTree and receive free hosting for their WordPress websites.

Currently, we’ve got two locations for our hosting service (highly optimized for WordPress sites): one in Asia (Singapore) and the other one in the United States. And we’re currently looking into deploying Raspberry Pi as WordPress web servers located in a Phnom Penh Internet provider.

If you’re a student and interested in this WordPress hosting program, please send us an email and describing your website project.
